The University of Hawaii at Hilo baseball team took a doubleheader from Academy of Art University, 9-2 and 11-3, on the University of San Francisco Beneditti Field in Calif.

The Vulcans improved to 10-9 overall while the Urban Knights dropped to 0-15.

#Clayton Uyechi# (2-1) and #Kurtis Sherer# held the Urban Knights to six hits. Uyechi picked up the win with five innings of work in which he gave up five hits and struck out nine. Sherer finished the game giving up a hit and a walk in the final two innings.

#Thomas Brown III# went 3 for 3 with a pair of RBI to lead the offense. #Shane Kessel# and #Ronel Trias# picked up two hits apiece.

#Kekoa Lee# (3-1) and #Jeff Jones# gave up seven hits in the second game. Lee struck out six and walked four in his five innings on the mound while Jones gave up three hits and struck out one in his two innings.

Trias continued to raise his batting average with a 3 for 3, 2 RBI performance. #Keoni Manago# also had three hits but added 3 RBI.
