The University of Hawaii at Hilo went on a scoring binge in taking a doubleheader from Academy of Art University, 9-5 and 21-14, in Atherton, Calif.

The Vulcans improved to 12-9 while the Urban Knights are 0-17.

#Tyler Simao# (3-0) picked up the win with two innings of 2-hit, 2-strikeout relief work. #Jesse Moon# started the game giving up five runs on seven hits and three walks while striking out six.

The Vulcans erupted for 20 hits in game two with #Keoni Manago# going 5 for 6 with an RBI. #Ronel Trias# went 4 for 5 with 4 RBI while Hanna picked up three hits and 2 RBI.

Rodgers, #Matt Haasenritter# and #T.J. Pilla# paired hits. Haasenritter tallied 4 RBI while Pilla had three.

#Christian Stephenson# (2-3) picked up the win in relief. The senior right-hander pitched 3.2 innings giving up four runs on four hits and a walk while striking out four. #Phil Hackney# started the game and gave up 10 runs on 10 hits while walking one and striking out two in 3.1 innings.
