The University of Hawaii at Hilo was on the short end of the score as they fell 12-7 to San Francisco State University at Maloney Field in San Francisco, Calif.

The Vulcans are 12-10 while the Gators are 7-20.

#Peter Rodgers# and #Kalehua Moniz# combined for eight of the Vulcans' 12 hits with four each. #Keoni Manago# picked up only one hit but managed to bring in 3 RBI.

Five pitchers saw action for the Vulcans.

"This non-conference game gave us an opportunity to give our pitchers some innings before our next conference series," #UHH head coach Joey Estrella# said.

#Brian Shannon# went first and gave up four runs on seven hits and three walks. He also struck out two.

#Jeff Jones# was next and took the loss. He gave up four runs on one hit. #John Holley, Jr.# followed with three runs on three hits and two walks.

#Sheldon Otsuka# pitched an inning and gave up one run on two hits and a walk while striking out one.

#Nathan Kekahuna, Jr.# tossed the final inning without giving up a hit but walked one and struck out one.
