The University of Hawaii at Hilo took the final game of a four-game Pacific West Confernce series 12-11 at Bruce Hurst Field in St. George, Utah.

The Vulcans improved to 13-13 overall and 4-8 in the PWC while the Red Storm is 18-10 overall and 8-4 in the PWC.

#Peter Rodger's# two-run homerun in the ninth inning gave the Vulcans a 12-9 lead that they would hold onto despite two Red Storm runs in the bottom of the inning.

Rodger's completed the day with two hits and three RBI.

#Keoni Manago# led the way for the Vulcans with four hits and six RBI to raise his batting average to .400. Four RBIs came in on his sixth-inning grand slam that put the Vulcans ahead 10-8.

#Brian Shannon# (2-2) picked up the win in relief of #Phil Hackney#. Hackney gave up five runs on four hits and three walks while striking out two. Shannon went the next three innings giving up six runs on five hits and a walk while striking out three.

#Christian Stephenson# got the save.
