The tables turned on the University of Hawaii at Hilo as the Vulcans dropped today's Pacific West Conference doubleheader to Grand Canyon University, 12-3 and 10-9, in Brazell Stadium in Phoenix, Ariz. to even the series at two wins each.
The Vulcans are 15-15 overall and 6-10 in the PWC. The Antelopes are 13-22 overall and 7-9 in the PWC.
An 18-hit performance kept the Vulcans going in the second game as #Jeff Hanna# was 4 for 5 at the plate while #Ronel Trias# and #Keoni Manago# had three hits each. #T.J. Pilla# and #Shane Kessel# had two hits each. Kessel had 3 RBI.
#Jesse Moon# gave up six runs on eight hits and a walk while striking out five in 4.1 innings on the mound. #Kurtis Sherer# entered the game for one inning giving up two runs on three hits and a pair of walks. #Christian Stephenson# got the loss giving up two runs on two hits and a walk.
The Vulcans led 9-8 until the bottom of the seventh when a 2-run Antelope single ended the game.

#Kekoa Lee# (3-3) went just 2.1 innings but errors helped the Antelopes score seven runs off of the southpaw on eight hits and three walks. Of the seven runs, only one was earned.
