Runner-up at PWC Championship

The University of Hawaii at Hilo finished second at the 2009 Hawaiian Airlines Pacific West Conference Championship hosted by Notre Dame de Namur University on the par-72 Roddy Ranch Golf Club in Antioch, Calif.

UHH junior Logan Goulding was tied for first place at 1-under-par 215 (75-69-71) after 54-holes but fell in a playoff to Academy of Art University's Matthew Garcia.

Zady Ari opened the tournament with a 6-under-par 66 and settled into fourth place at even-par 216 (66-76-74).

Stephen Zane was three strokes back at 219 (71-74-71) and tied for 10th place. Isaac Jaffurs was tied for 12th place with a 222 (77-73-72). Kelii Dias was in 32nd place at 239 (78-80-81).

Grand Canyon University won the team championship with a three-round total of 866. They were followed by #UHH (872)#, Dixie State College (890), Hawaii Pacific University (897), Notre Dame de Namur (902), Brigham Young University-Hawaii (906), Academy of Art (919) and Chaminade University (1200).
