The University of Hawaii at Hilo opened a six-game series with Hawaii Pacific University with a Pacific West Conference twinbill sweep at Hans L'Orange Park, 8-2 and 14-6.

The Vulcans improve to 20-17 overall and 11-11 in the PWC while the Sea Warriors fall to 21-16 overall and 9-9 in the PWC.

#Tyler Simao# (4-0) picked up his fourth victory in relief in game two. Entering the game with a 6-3 lead in the second inning, Simao held the Sea Warriors hitless with a 3-hit, 2-strikeout performance while giving up three walks.

#Kurtis Sherer# tossed two hitless innings to end the game. He struck out one and walked two.

Manago went 4 for 5 with two RBI while Trias was 3 for 4 with an RBI.
