Stephen Zane’s medalist honors led the University of Hawaii at Hilo to a second place finish at the Naris Cup College Student Friendship Tournament, March 24-26.
The tournament was hosted by the Kansai Students Golf Union at the Sakushu Musashi Country Club (Harima-Mimasaka).
Zane shot rounds of 70-76-72 for a final 2-over-par, 218 on the 6,845-yard, par 72 course.
Logan Goulding was in third place at 4-over-par, 220 with rounds of 71-71-78.
Other Vulcan participants were
Zady Ari with rounds of 78-80-82 (240),
Jesus Valdivia with rounds of 75-81-80 (236) and Christopher Armanini with rounds of 83-78-85 (246).
The University of Hawaii at Manoa won the tournament with at 897. UH Hilo was 14 strokes back at 911 followed by Osaka Gakuin (912), Kwansei Gakuin (919), Doshisha (924), Kinki (929), Konan (948) and High School Union (1017).
