Season ends with 14th place finish at Regionals

The University of Hawaii at Hilo men's golf team finished 14th at the NCAA Division II Men's Central/West Regional at the Wilderness Ridge Country Club in Lincoln, Neb. with a 3-round 916.

Stephen Zane's 76 was the Vulcans' low score of the day which helped Zane finish in a tie for 55th place with a 17-over-par 230 (78-76-76).

Logan Goulding finished in a tie for 41st place with a 15-under-par 228 (77-74-77). A stroke back and tied for 49th place was Zady Ari (77-72-80). He was followed by Zane. Tied for 71st place at 20-under-par 233 were Jesus Valdivia (75-76-80) and Chris Armanini (75-75-83).

Colorado-Colorado Springs won the team title with a 863 followed by Cal State Stanislaus and Sonoma State (866), Cal State San Bernardino (876), Grand Canyon (888), Chico State (889), Cal State Monterey Bay (891), Upper Iowa (903), Western New Mexico (904), Western Washington (907), Fort Lewis (909), St. Martin's (911), Dixie State (915), UH Hilo (916), Colorado Christian and St. Cloud State (911), Colorado State-Pueble (928), Bemedji State (930), Regis (932) and Minnesota State-Mankato (960).
