The University of Hawaii at Hilo dropped a Pacific West Conference doubleheader to Dixie State College, 4-1 and 7-5, at the Bruce Hurst Field in St. George, Utah.

The Vulcans are 5-15 overall and 1-11 in the PacWest while the Red Storm is 16-9 overall and 10-6 in the PacWest.

#Keoni Manago# was 2 for 3 with an RBI to lead the Vulcans in game one. His RBI single came in the fifth inning after Ronel Trias doubled and moved to third on a wild pitch.

#Jeff Hanna# was 2 for 3 with two RBI in game two. #Shane Kessel# had a pair of hits and added an RBI.

"It's not so much of what we're not doing, it's just that Dixie is playing so well," said #UHH head coach Joey Estrella#. "We're trying everything to do something but we just got Dixie at the wrong time…they're awfully hot. Our guys are playing hard and always seem to play better in the second game of a doubleheader."
