The University of Hawaii at Hilo split today's Pacific West Conference doubleheader with Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Ariz. winning the second game 8-5 and falling 4-8 in game one.

The Vulcans are 7-18 overall and 3-13 in the PacWest while the Antelope are 20-17 overall and 11-9 in the PacWest.

#Aaron Correa# (2-1) went the distance in the Vulcan's victory giving up nine hits and striking out four while walking two.

#Keoni Manago# led the offense with 3 hits and a pair of RBI. Jeff Hanna added two hits.

The Vulcans came out strong with a 3-run, 4-hit first inning with RBI singles by Manago, #Shane Kessel# and #Cody Barrett#. They then put up a 5-run, 5-hit fourth inning with RBI singles by #Ronel Trias# and Manago. After Trias scored on a wild pitch, #Kekoa Lee# delivered a two run single.

The Vulcans banged out 13 hits in the first game but stranded 12 base runners.

Manago had another 3-hit game. Barrett also tallied three hits while Trias and #Joshua Wong# added two hits each.
