Loeffler (2-4), a junior right-hander from Hilo, handcuffed the Red Storm through seven innings in which he struck out six and walked just one.
He got quick offensive help in the first and was spotted a 1-0 lead when #Ronel Trias# scored on #Keoni Manago's# grounder to third.
Doubles by #Kekoa Lee# and #Joshua Wong# added another run in the fourth while Trias scored again, this time in the fifth on a #Shane Kessel# grounder. Kessel later scored on a error.
Trias was 3-for-3 to lead the Vulcans at the plate while Lee added two hits.

He got his runs early as the Vulcans delivered three on three hits and an error in the first inning. Manago drove in the first run on a grounder. Kessel followed with an RBI double and #Cody Barrett# delivered the final RBI single.
Trias delivered the final run on a ground out. #TJ Pilla# opened the inning with walk and stole second. After #Dave Keller# put down the sacrifice, Pilla scored on Trias' grounder to third.
