The University of Hawaii at Hilo dropped a non-conference doubleheader to Hawaii Pacific University, 3-2 and 3-0, on Hans L'Orange field in Waipahu, Hawaii.

In the first game, the Vulcans got the hits but couldn't push across the runs stranding 12 runnners on nine hits while taking six walks. The Vulcans left the bases loaded in the first and thrice left a pair of runners aboard.
Jonathan James and Joshua Wong paired hits for the Vulcans while Chris Pascual and Dane Kinoshita combined on the 4-hitter.
The hits faded away in the second game as Travis Stancil picked up two of the Vulcans' four hits.
Dan Hennigs and Seamus Yoneshige combined on a 7-hitter. Yoneshige went the final five innings giving up just five hits and a walk while striking out four.
