Season ending split

Five seniors say farewell

Steven Riddle, Daniel Reitz, Tyler Simao, Tyson Goo and Bryan Raines
The University of Hawaii at Hilo closed out the 2012 season with a Pacific West Conference doubleheader split with the Academy of Art University at Wong Stadium in Hilo.
 
Tyler Simao recorded a 4-0 win with a complete game effort in game one while the Urban Knights (6-40 overall, 6-30 PacWest) claimed the night cap 6-2.

The Vulcans season ends t 15-33 overall and 12-27 in the PacWest.
 
Simao, one of five seniors, gave up just six hits over nine innings while walking three and striking out eight.
 
Offensive help came from senior Steven Riddle who's 2-run double ended a scoreless game in the sixth.
 
Johnathan James was the only player to collect two of the Vulcans seven hits. James then collected one of the Vulcans' two hits in game two.
 
Senior Bryan Raines got the start a struck out six while walking one in the losing effort.

Also playing in their final games were Tyson Goo and Daniel Reitz.
