WAIKOLOA, Hawaii – The 9
th Annual Dennis Rose Intercollegiate golf tournament ended with the University of Hawaii at Hilo and Cal State Monterey Bay as co-champions and St. Martin's
Jennifer Liedes claiming the individual title.
UH Hilo (309-323-335) and CSUMB (325-307-325) finished the tournament at 967 while SMU was a stroke behind a 968 (319-317-332).
Sophomore
Andi Igawa played steadily through the ever increasing winds to finish tied for fourth with a 234 (75-79-80). Senior
Kristen Sawada struggled in round three carding an 87 to finish sixth with a 237 (76-74-87). Freshman
Shantel Antonio (77-85-86) and sophomore
Mariah Paiste (81-85-82) were tied for 12
th place at 248. Completing the scoring squad was junior
Alison Tengan tied for 25
th place (89-86-88=263).
As an unattached individual, freshman
Kimberly Katayama placed 32
nd at 286 (97-89-100).
Liedes won by four strokes over Concordia's (Ore.) Lynsie Furuya with a 226 (71-77-77).
