LA JOLLA, Calif.--UC San Diego and Hawai`i Hilo's men's tennis teams met in February in Honolulu, with the Tritons taking a 6-3 win.
Flash forward a month and a half later, to a different state and different courts--but same score. No. 12 nationally ranked UCSD won 6-3 again over the No. 40 Vulcans, this time on the Northview Courts on the cliffside scenic San Diego campus. The Tritons are now 9-9 on the season, while the Vulcans are 9-11.
This was a rematch between the No. 3 team in the west region (UCSD) and the No. 6 squad (UHH).
The Vulcans won at the spots that have come to be expected of them. No. 1 singles player

Bruno Figlia improved to 13-5 on the year with a 6-3, 6-4 victory over Edvin Larsson.
Figlia and partner Alex Fillat Perez won for the 14th time as a doubles tandem (14-4), in another thriller over Larsson and Marc Isaiah, 9-8 (8-6) on court two. Fillat Perez also gave a game effort at No. 2 singles before falling to No. 34 nationally ranked Alexandre Miaule, 6-4, 6-3.
The rest of the afternoon belonged to the Tritons, winning in straight sets in singles or in decisive fashion in doubles.
