Lillie Named Second Team All-PWC

IRVINE, Calif.--University of Hawai`i Hilo sophomore defender Jodi Lillie has been named to the Second Team of the All-Pacific West Conference women's soccer team, announced today by the league office.

Lillie started every match on the defensive end of the field for the Vulcans, helping direct the team to nine shutouts on the season, the third best total in the conference. She averaged 95 minutes a match. She also ventured into the offensive end of the pitch to score twice against Holy Names and the Mililani, Hawai`i native also had an assist against Central Washington.

A Preseason All-PacWest pick and a First Team selection last year as a freshman, Lillie was also a PacWest All-Academic selection a year ago. Over the course of two seasons, she has started every match for the Vulcans.

The Vulcans finished in fifth place in the PacWest with a 5-4-2 record. They were 6-7-4 overall.

Lillie was the only Vulcan player selected by the PacWest coaches to the first, second, or third teams. Hawai`i Pacific's Ebony Madrid was named the PWC Player of the Year, Biola's Madyson Brown is the Defender of the Year, Christina Rodriguez (Biola) is the Goalkeeper of the Year, Makenna Herrero (Point Loma) is the Newcomer of the Year, Jadenn Carrillo (Concordia) is the Freshman of the Year and the Coach of the Year comes from conference champion Point Loma, Kristi Kiely.
