HILO, Hawai'i – Karina Da Silva netted her first career goal to lift Hawai'i Hilo Women's Soccer to a 1-0 win over Chaminade on Saturday afternoon in Pacific West Conference play at the Vulcan Soccer Field.
Elise Flores provided the assist after taking the ball downfield from a throw-in from Ella Smith and connecting with Da Silva in the 12th minute for the match's lone goal.
The Vulcans outshot the Silverswords, 18-4 — the lowest total allowed by an opposing team this season. Hawai'i Hilo goalkeeper Lydia Keller recorded her seventh shutout of the season and had three saves (35', 51', 56').
The result extends the Vulcans' unbeaten run through the last nine matches (5-0-4) as they are now tied for fourth with nine points (2-0-3 record) in the PacWest Conference standings. Biola (4-0-1) leads with 13 points, followed by Point Loma (3-0-2) and Concordia (3-0-1).

Hawai'i Hilo opens the women's soccer portion of the 2026-27 PacWest Hawai'i Challenge with two points. The year-long multi-sport leaderboard tracks head-to-head results (men's soccer, women's soccer, women's volleyball, men's basketball, women's basketball, softball, baseball) and conference event results (women's cross country, women's tennis, men's golf) in equally sponsored sports between Hawai'i's three NCAA Division II schools (Chaminade and HPU). PACWEST CONFERENCE PRESEASON POLL
Hawai'i Hilo was voted No. 3 in the Pacific West Conference Preseason Coaches Poll. The Vulcans posted an 8-3-6 record last fall and made an appearance in the PacWest Championships semifinal round. The 2026 PacWest Championships will be hosted by Hawai'i Hilo on Nov. 5-7 at Vulcan Soccer Field.
