For the second season in a row, Hawai`i Hilo defender
Jodi Lillie has been named to the Pacific West Conference All-Preseason team.
Lillie, a junior from Honolulu (Mililani HS), was a preseason pick in 2019. She went on to earn Second Team All-PacWest honors at the end of her sophomore season and earned First Team All-PacWest laurels as a freshman in 2018.
Lillie has been a key part of a Vulcan defense that has been one of the best in the conference over the past two seasons, but she has also managed to score three goals in her career. In her two seasons in a Vulcan uniform, she has started every match and led the Vulcans in minutes played.
In the Coaches Preseason poll, the Vulcans were picked to finish fifth. Two-time defending champion Point Loma was picked to three-peat, with Concordia tabbed for second. UH HIlo also finished fifth in the 2019 regular season standings with a 5-4-2 record (6-7-4 overall).
The Vulcans will play four matches this spring in a non-championship year, beginning with a Feb. 13 match at home against Hawai`i Pacific.
