HILO, Hawai'i-- The men's soccer team played hard, but at the end of the day weren't able to make a comeback against Biola. The Eagles beat the Vulcans 2-0 which will improve BU 9-4 overall and 5-1 in the PacWest conference, while UHH drops 4-6-1 overall and 2-4-1 in the PacWest.Â
The Eagles scored both of their goals in the first half. Their first goal was in the 15th minute and their next was in the 35th. BU out-shot UHH 7-6, three of which were on goal to UH Hilo's one. The Vulcans' shot leader was Kalei Tolentino-Perry with two shots, one that was on goal.
The match was intense and both teams got physical. UHH had 11 fouls to BU's nine and three Vulcans were penalized with yellow cards.
