IRVINE, Calif.-- Viviana Poli was named PacWest Defender of the Week for her performances against Concordia Irvine and Biola this past week. Poli totaled four saves in two crucial games for the Vulcans who are in pursuit of the conference title. She had one save in the Vulcans 1-0 win over CUI and three saves in their 2-0 win over BU.
Poli has been solid in the net the entire season, playing a role in all eight of UH Hilo's shutouts. Out of UHH's eight shutouts, Poli has had four complete shutouts. Poli ranks second in the PacWest in saves, totaling 39 for the season, translating to an 86.7 save percentage.
