UH Hilo soccer goalkeeper
Michael Harre has been named to the Co-SIDA Academic All-District Team, based on a combination of athletic and academic accomplishments.
The team is made up of players from the Pacific West Conference, the Great Northwest Athletic Conference and the California Collegiate Athletic Association. This year, because of COVID shortened seasons, the nominees career credentials and overall grade point averages were taken into consideration.Â
15 total student-athletes and three goalkeepers were named to the squad. All members of the all-district team will now advance to the Co-SIDA Academic All-American ballot.Â
Harre has a 3.85 GPA in his major of Psychology. It is the fifth highest GPA on the All-District team.
Harre was injured and missed most of the recently completed spring season. In 2019, he had 86 saves on the season, the second highest total in school history. He also set a school record with 14 saves during an overtime loss to then-No. 1 nationally ranked Azusa Pacific.
The St. Louis native is scheduled to return to his goalkeeper position in the coming Fall season (2021) and will pursue a graduate degree in Psychology.
