A new athletic year means a new athletic website design for the Hawai`i Hilo Vulcans.
The University of Hawai`i Hilo athletic department has partnered with website host Sidearm Sports for a new look, that will be launched on Wednesday, August 18. The new look should be "live" by 10 am or so Hawaii time.Â
The design features larger photos on the main pages and in the biographical sketches for each player. There is also easier access to photo galleries and Vulcan Videos.Â
The last redesign of the Vulcan athletic website was launched in August of 2017, exactly five years ago. Since the advent of athletic websites, UH Hilo has always partnered with Sidearm. Based in Syracuse, New York, SIDEARM Sports is the leader in powering collegiate athletic websites and is the provider of the Pacific West Conference and all 11 of its member institutions. SIDEARM Sports also powers over 1,000 institutes and organizations in all three NCAA levels, NAIA and junior colleges in the United States and Canada.
hiloathletics.com will continues to be your only home for all UH Hilo Athletics information including news, schedules, tickets, rosters and statistics for all of UHH's 12 sports programs. The site also provides multimedia coverage including live video streaming, features, and more.
UH Hilo Sports Information Director
Russ Blunck oversaw the project.Â
"I am excited about the redesign and launch of our new website," said UH Hilo athletic directorÂ
Patrick Guillen. "This current and updated design gives us a fresh look and is very user friendly. I know that our student-athletes, fans, alumni and community will enjoy visiting us even more online and keep up to date with all of our teams and events."
