IRVINE, Calif.-- Aniwaniwa Tait-Jones led the UH Hilo men's basketball team's offensive charge with a career-high of 30 points in their 86-84 loss to Concordia University Irvine in the CU Arena.
The Vulcans (10-6, 6-3 PacWest Conference) played a competitive first half with the Eagles (8-7, 5-4 PacWest). Every basket was crucial as the game was tied up six times.
The Eagles broke away towards the end and kept the momentum flowing in the second half. CUI distanced themselves by as much as 16 points until UHH began to close in on the gap. The Vulcans brought the game back within a three-point reach six times before the Eagles eventual 86-84 win.

Tait-Jones Scores Career-High… Tait-Jones came fired up, scoring a career-high of 30 points against the Eagles.
DOUBLE-DOUBLE…Tait-Jones made his fifth double-double of the season with a career-high of 30 points and collection of 11 rebounds.
Free Throw Success…The Vulcans shot 50.8 percent at the free throw line. Willams was a perfect 2-for-2, Tait-Jones a solid 8-for-10, and McHenry a cool 6-for-7.
