BELMONT, California – The Hawai'i Hilo women's volleyball team notched consecutive wins after steaming through Academy of Art in four sets of Pacific West Conference action Monday evening at the Walter Gleason Gym.
In her penultimate match, senior Cara Bolte (Honolulu, Hawai'i/Maryknoll School) continued where she left off from last Saturday's contest by upping her career-best totals to 22 kills at a .356 percentage to lead the Vulcans Monday against the Urban Knights.
Hawai'i Hilo came out cold to an early 9-1 deficit that led to dropping the opening set, 25-14.
From there, the Vulcans battled tough to take the second set, 25-23, before taking over and closing out the final two sets with 25-19 and 25-17 wins.
Freshman Imani Lee (Hacienda Heights, California/Glen A. Wilson HS) returned to action to add a season-high 13 kills as Kendall Kott (Shingle Springs, California/Ponderosa HS) matched a career-best eight kills.
Emerson Reinke (Arvada, Colorado/Ralston Valley HS) dished out 41 assists to surpass the 800-mark in her freshman season. She also tallied 10 digs for 12th double-double.

Hawai'i Hilo improved to 4-21 overall, 4-15 PacWest as Academy of Art fell to 6-21 in the PacWest (5-13 overall).
The Vulcans will play their season finale Wednesday, Nov. 9 at Fresno Pacific (15-8 overall, 14-4 PacWest).
The Urban Knights will close their season with home matches against Chaminade and Hawai'i Pacific.
