TURLOCK, Calif. – Jodi Lillie (Mililani, Hawai'i/Mililani HS) hit the lone goal of the game on a penalty kick at the end of the first half as the Hawai'i Hilo women's soccer team outlasted Stanislaus State, 1-0, Saturday evening in non-conference play at Warrior Stadium.
With possession of the ball, Lillie drove toward the Warriors goal and was fouled inside the penalty area by Stanislaus State's Rylie Stiglich. The fifth-year senior's shot went through the lower left side to get the best of Alexia Estrada on the PK.
Freshman Lolo Retsky (Calabasas, Calif./Sierra Canyon School) made her third start in goal and notched five saves with the shutout to improve to 3-0.
The Warriors' Arionna Imhoff made a last-second run down the right side and had Retsky one-on-one from a few yards out, but her shot hit the front right pole and ricocheted out of play as time expired.
The Vulcans out shot the Warriors, 18-11, and were even, 5-5, on shots-on-goal.
Warriors goalkeeper Estrada made four saves but took her first loss of the season.
