IRVINE, California – The Hawai'i Hilo Women's Volleyball team continued its road trip through Southern California, falling to Concordia University Irvine in straight sets (22-25, 20-25, 23-25) Monday evening in Pacific West Conference action at the CU Arena.
Despite the set scores, the Vulcans made it difficult for the Golden Eagles and battled tough through the late sections of each set.
However, Set 3 saw Hawai'i Hilo nearing set point with a five-score lead at 23-18, but CUI managed to rattle off seven-straight points to flip the score and seal the sweep.
The two teams had previously met Sept. 21 in Hilo with the Vulcans coming out victorious in an epic five-set battle.
