KANSAS CITY, Missouri – The University of Hawai'i at Hilo Women's Soccer team was announced Wednesday as a United Soccer Coaches College Team Academic Award winner, recognizing exemplary performance in the classroom during the 2022-23 academic year.
The Vulcans posted a 3.53 team grade point average, landing at a nine-school tie at No. 242 out of 497 women's soccer programs across all three NCAA divisions.
Back in early May, the women's soccer team was also awarded Hawai'i Hilo Ramon Goya Academic Team of the Year for highest GPA among the Vulcans team sports for the 2022-23 year.
A total of 808 soccer teams (311 men, 497 women) achieved a team GPA of 3.0 or higher to receive a United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award for 2022-23.
United Soccer Coaches annually celebrates the academic achievements of teams whose student-athletes collectively demonstrate a commitment to excellence in their studies over the course of a full academic year.
