HILO, Hawai'i – The Vulcans had a tough go at it Saturday night falling in straight sets to No. 16 Point Loma (22-25, 20-25, 21-25) in Pacific West Conference play at the Vulcan Gymnasium.
Samara Cruz led with 12 kills (.206) and two aces along with 12 digs and a block assist. Chase Koepke followed with 11 kills and three block assists.
Hawai'i Hilo moved to 9-4 in the PacWest (14-9 overall) as No. 16 Point Loma moved to an 11-0 conference record (17-0 overall). The Vulcans remained in third place in the PacWest standings.
OTHER NOTES
- Samara Cruz moved to No. 7 in the Vulcans record books with 952 career kills.
