Arakawa Adds Additional All-America Accolades

AMERICA – Hawai'i Hilo Women's Soccer senior forward Teani Arakawa collected four All-America honors as voted on and selected by members of the United Soccer Coaches, D2 Conference Commissioners Association and College Sports Communicators programs.

The Maui native was selected to:

  • United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-America First Team Forward *
  • United Soccer Coaches All-America Second Team Forward *
  • CSC Academic All-America Second Team Forward
  • D2 CCA All-America Third Team Forward

Arakawa helped the Vulcans (14-3-3 overall; 9-1-1 Pacific West Conference) to a runner-up finish in the inaugural PacWest Conference Championships postseason tournament along with the program's third NCAA Women's Soccer Championship appearance and first-ever win in the West Regional First Round.

Hawai'i Hilo finished the season ranked No. 24 in the final United Soccer Coaches Top 25 National Poll.

Arakawa topped the entire Division II in shot accuracy with a .786 clip while also holding national ranks at No. 10 assists/game (0.50), No. 14 game-winning goals (5) and No. 15 points/game (1.70) among others. She also repeated as both back-to-back D2 CCA All-West Region Player of the Year and PacWest Conference Player of the Year while wiping away the Vulcans program record books to place No. 1 in all-time points (81), all-time goals (30), all-time assists (21), single-season points (34) and single-season assists (10).

Additionally for 2024, Arakawa was selected to the United Soccer Coaches All-West Region First Team, United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-West Region First Team, D2 CCA All-West Region First Team and CSC Academic All-District Team.

At time of nomination submission, Arakawa held a 3.57 cumulative grade point average and plans to wrap up academic work toward a Bachelor of Business Administration – Finance next semester.
