Player of the Week
Arthur Soto (3B, Jr., Hawai'i Hilo)
Soto hit .429 (9-21) over five games with seven RBI, two home runs, and four doubles for a .905 slugging percentage. He helped Hawai'i Hilo to a 4-1 record at the Big Island Baseball Bash with multiple clutch base hits: a go-ahead hit, a game-winning walk-off hit, and a game-tying hit in the bottom of the ninth. The third baseman ended a game against Chaminade with a bases-loaded single for a 4-3 win, tied a contest against St. Martin's in the bottom of the ninth with a single (5-4 UHH win), and put the Vulcans in front of the Saints one day earlier with a single during an 8-3 victory.

Pitcher of the Week:Â Jonathan Zayas (LHP, Sr., Northwest Nazarene)
Zayas was nearly untouchable in the Nighthawks' 4-0 shutout of Stanislaus State, authoring seven brilliant innings to propel the Nighthawks to a win. The left-hander allowed just one hit and one walk while striking out nine batters across 95 pitches. After a 1-2-3 first inning, Zayas walked the leadoff hitter in the second before retiring the next 13 Warriors in order until an error broke the streak. He took a no-hitter into the seventh before it was broken up with one out on Stanislaus' only hit off Zayas. The second-year Nighthawk matched his NNU career highs in both innings pitched and strikeouts, and it was his first shutout performance in a starting role.
