GRAND JUNCTION, Colorado – With a short turnaround, the Hawai'i Hilo Men's Tennis team completed its weekend trip to Colorado unbeaten after prevailing twice against Colorado Mesa, 4-1 and 4-1, Sunday morning at the Elliott Tennis Center.
The Vulcans won the doubles point for both matches as the duo of Ryo Minakata and Lamar Bartley went 2-0 on the day on Court 1. Minakata was also victorious in both of his No. 1 singles matches, making for a 4-0 record on the day.
Luca Matheiowetz (Court 4) and Bartley sealed up the match-clinching points of Match 1 and Match 2, respectively.

Hawai'i Hilo moved to 4-2 overall while No. 45 Metro State Denver moved to a 4-7 record and Colorado Mesa to 5-9. The Vulcans and Mavericks will match up again March 19 in Southern California.
The Vulcans will have a week to prepare for their annual spring break gauntlet of matches taking on Biola (March 18), Colorado Mesa (March 19), No. 20 Azusa Pacific (March 20), No. 42 Concordia University Irvine (March 22), Westmont (March 24) and No. 47 Point Loma (March 25).
Pacific West Conference Championship is set for April 17-20 at the Surprise Tennis & Racquet Complex in Arizona.
