Hawai'i Hilo Men's Soccer is coming off a double-digit winning season for just the third time in the program's short history and the first since 2009. Diego Marroquin completed his first season as acting head coach for the Vulcans with a No. 3 finish in the Pacific West Conference and a No. 10 spot in the final United Soccer Coaches West Regional Rankings.

The Northern California native arrived to the Big Island after spending the two previous seasons in charge of the men's soccer program at now-defunct Holy Names University (Oakland, California). Marroquin also spent time as an assistant across the Bay Area at Dominican University of California in addition to his two alma maters at Santa Rosa Junior College and Division-I Sacramento State.

Terry Yamane has been a longtime assistant between both Vulcans Soccer programs and is in charge of recruiting with the current men's program.

Steve Petner is the most recent addition to the Vulcans coaching staff but has been a mainstay in the local Hawai'i Island soccer community, coaching at the high school level with Kamehameha Schools Hawai'i and Waiakea High School.
