SEASIDE, California – Hawai'i Hilo Men's Golf's finished seventh at the 16-team Otter Invitational hosted this week by Cal State Monterey Bay at the Bayonet/Black Horse Golf Courses.
Hawai'i Hilo posted a plus-36 score (293–308–299) to finish 27 shots behind team winner Western Washington (+9).
Ben Crinella finished inside the top 20 among the field of nearly 100 golfers, posting a plus-five score (71–74–76) to place tied at No. 12. Jacob Torres was just behind at plus-eight for a tie at No. 23.
Western Washington's Conrad Brown took the individual win after winning a playoff with Marius Dosiere of Colorado State Pueblo. Both shot two-under.
OTHER NOTES
- Crinella finished the opening round with a one-under score
- Johan Bjorken competed in his first event with the Vulcans, landing two Eagles on Hole 1 in Round 2 and Hole 5 in Round 3.
- Dysen Park also shot an Eagle on Hole 18 in Round 2.
- Round 2 was not completed due to darkness and resumed play at the beginning of the second day.
