FRESNO, California – Hawai'i Hilo Women's Volleyball fell to No. 12 Fresno Pacific in straight sets (19-25, 13-25, 25-27) Monday evening in Pacific West Conference play at the Special Events Center.
The Sunbirds remained unbeaten at 21-0. FPU managed to put down seven aces to just one from the Vulcans. Fresno Pacific hit .274 with just 13 hitting attack errors.
Hawai'i Hilo finished with 20 attack errors, committing half of them in Set 2.
Chase Koepke hit .500 for the match on eight kills. Malu Garcia led with a double-double on 10 kills and 10 digs with three total blocks.
FPU's Cambria Waites managed to put down 17 kills (.424) followed by 10 from Sydney Hancock (.429).
OTHER NOTES
- Isabella Freeman totaled five blocks to bring her season total to 126, moving past Cheriesse Shiroma (1997) to rank No. 9 in the program record books.
- PacWest Conference Standings: Hawai'i Hilo currently sits behind FPU (9-0), Point Loma (7-0) and Chaminade (8-2). The Vulcans will have small margin for error in hopes of qualifying for the inaugural four-team conference postseason tournament with Biola at a 5-2 record.

- The two teams previously met in Hilo in mid-September with FPU managing to spoil the Vulcans' home opener with a 3-1 win in non-conference play.
