CALIFORNIA – Ben Crinella's program record-setting round of minus-eight at last weekend's Amer Ari Intercollegiate earned further recognition as the Hawai'i Hilo Men's Golf sophomore was selected Pacific West Conference Player of the Week as announced by the conference office Wednesday afternoon.
Crinella faced a tough field of some of the best in Division I but finished strong in the final round by landing two eagles and five birdies for a shot total of 64 for a minus-8 score. Crinella finished at tie for No. 91 with a two-over finish.
The Vulcans will be back in action next month with the Tim Tierney Pioneer Shootout in Alameda, California on March 10-11.
