COLORADO – Hawai'i Hilo Men's Tennis took a weekend trip to the Centennial State going up against Pacific West Conference affiliate members Metro State Denver and Colorado Mesa. The Vulcans went 1-3 with the lone win a gutsy 4-3 victory against the Mavericks.

The Vulcans traveled to the Air Force Academy for two neutral matches with Metro State, falling by a clean sweep of 7-0 and 4-0.

Perhaps after adjusting to the altitude difference in Colorado, Hawai'i Hilo bounced back to take down No. 27 CMU in the first of two matches played on Sunday. After dropping the doubles point, Jaime Paquet (Court 1), Agustin Gentile (Court 4), Filippo Di Perna (Court 2) and Sergi Tintore (Court 3) flipped the script to take four singles matches and the victory for the Vulcans.

Hawai'i Hilo moved to 3-3 on the season as Metro State Denver moved to a 6-7 record and No. 27 Colorado Mesa to 7-7 overall.
