HENDERSON, Nevada – Jacob Torres finished sixth overall to help lead Hawai'i Hilo Men's Golf to a third place finish at The Vegas Warrior Invitational this past weekend at the Wildhorse Golf Club.
Torres finished even and four-over in two rounds on the par-70 course, totaling eight birdies. Dysen Park and Dylan Bercan both followed at a tie at No. 11 with seven-plus scores.
The Vulcans finished Round 1 in the second-place slot with a plus-11 score, nine shots behind leader Winona State. Eastern Wyoming edged the Vulcans for the runner-up finish after besting Hawai'i Hilo by six strokes in the second round for a plus-29 overall total. The Vulcans finished one shot behind at plus-30.
Winona State claimed the victory at nine-over with Peyston Coahran finishing minus-three for the individual win.
