Paquet, Mountain Earn Tennis Singles Rankings

ARIZONA – Hawai'i Hilo Tennis players Jaime Paquet and McKenna Mountain continued to earn recognition as ranked among the top 75 singles rankings released by Intercollegiate Tennis Association earlier this week.

Both Paquet and Mountain have predominantly spent their singles matches playing on Court 1 this season, posting overall records of 14-3 and 11-6, respectively.

Paquet moved up seven spots to No. 44 in the latest poll as Mountain re-entered the rankings at No. 70.

Both Vulcans teams wrapped up regular-season action last weekend and will be headed to Surprise, Arizona for the PacWest Championships set for April 16-19 at the Surprise Tennis & Raquet Complex.

ITA RANKINGS: The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) is the governing body of college tennis, overseeing men's and women's varsity tennis at all levels — NCAA Divisions I, II and III, NAIA and Junior/Community College. The ITA Rankings Algorithm is based on an accumulation of win points and loss points, accounting for a win-loss record, the strength of schedule and the depth/significance of wins and losses. As the season progresses, the value of each win and loss adjusts to reflect the most recent ranking of the opponent.
