No. 14 Women's Soccer Plays to Stalemate with Stanislaus State

TURLOCK, California – No. 14 Hawai'i Hilo Women's Soccer went the full distance once again without a single goal as the Vulcans tied with Stanislaus State, 0-0, Wednesday evening at the Warrior Stadium.

Vulcans goalkeeper Lydia Keller matched her career high of seven saves to post a third consecutive shutout to start the season.

By the numbers, the Warriors held control of the match with 15 total shots (10 in the second half) and seven corner kicks to just five and none from the Vulcans, respectively. Hawai'i Hilo was also called for offsides four times while Stanislaus State had zero.

Hawai'i Hilo came in at No. 14 in the United Soccer Coaches Top 25 Coaches Week 1 Poll, moving up from its previous rank at No. 24.

PACWEST PRESEASON POLL

Hawai'i Hilo was voted No. 3 in the Pacific West Conference Preseason Coaches Poll. The Vulcans finished the 2024 regular season at No. 2 in the conference standings and was one of four teams to qualify for the inaugural PacWest Conference Championships postseason tournament, falling to Point Loma in double overtime of the title game. The 2025 PacWest Championships will be hosted by defending champ Point Loma on Nov. 13-15 in San Diego.
