DUPONT, Washington – Hawai'i Hilo Women's Golf senior Kiersten Saludares shot back-to-back even rounds (72) to claim individual victory at the Bob Gresham Memorial Shootout hosted by Saint Martin's at The Home Course.
Saludares finished one shot ahead of the next leading golfers — four tied at one-over — after totaling three birdies apiece through each round of action. The Hilo native closed out Round 1 with a birdie on a par-4 to rebound from a five-shot bogey on Hole 17. Day 2 saw Saludares finish with a double-bogey on just her fourth hole before closing out the final nine holes with par or better.
Tuesday's finish also set a new program record of 144 for best two-round score — topping Dayna Bersamin's 146 set at the 2011 Culturame Classic. It also marked Saludares' second career win in stroke play (third overall), the first since winning the 2023-24 PacWest Conference Championship.
Hawai'i Hilo finished Day 1 at one spot behind first place (six strokes back) before ultimately finishing at No. 4 (+29) overall. Newcomers Kailee McKee (+7) and Jaylen Wan (+8) placed inside the top 20 at ties for No. 14 and No. 17, respectively.
Simon Fraser claimed the top spot with a plus-15 score.
