HILO, Hawai'i – Hawai'i Hilo Women's Volleyball swept Dominican, 3-0 (25-13, 25-16, 25-15), Thursday evening in Pacific West Conference play at the Afook-Chinen Civic Auditorium.
The Vulcans improved their offensive numbers as the match zipped along, raising their hitting percentage from .143 in the first set to .294 in the second and .432 in the third. Hawai'i Hilo finished .303 for the match while holding Dominican to .095.
Alohi Garcia led Hawai'i Hilo with 11 kills and 13 digs. Sajal Glunz added nine kills (.421) and three blocks, while Kennedy Stevens chipped in seven kills (.462) and four blocks. 'Anolani Santos paced the offense with 28 assists.
Now about one-third of the way through the conference season, Hawai'i Hilo currently sits in fourth place at 4-2 in the PacWest standings. Concordia (6-0) is at No. 1 with Biola (6-1) and Point Loma (6-2) behind in the following slots.
The win opens a six-match homestand for the Vulcans, which also includes a rescheduled match against HPU on Friday, Oct. 16 at 4:30 p.m. (postponed from Sept. 27).

PACWEST CONFERENCE PRESEASON POLL
Hawai'i Hilo was voted No. 3 in the 2026 PacWest Preseason Coaches Poll. The Vulcans finished the 2025 regular season tied at No. 3 in the conference standings. The four-team 2026 PacWest Championships postseason tournament will be hosted by Vanguard University on Nov. 13-14 in Costa Mesa, California.
