HILO, Hawai'i – Hawai'i Hilo Men's Basketball fell to Jessup, 77-67, Thursday evening in Pacific West Conference play at the Afook-Chinen Civic Auditorium.
It was a tight affair through most of the opening 20 minutes of play until the Warriors managed to end the half on a 8-2 run. Momentum continued to the second half as Jessup squeezed its lead out to double digits and never looked back.
Julio Montes II poured in a new (D-II) career high of 28 points (6-7 3PT, 6-8 FT).
With the loss, the Vulcans are now eliminated from qualifying for the six-team PacWest Championships postseason tournament.
