COSTA MESA, California – Hawai'i Hilo Women's Basketball fell to Vanguard, 99-49, on Tuesday evening in Pacific West Conference play at the Freed Center for Leadership and Service.
It was a tough night for the Vulcans shooting just 23.1 percent from the field as the Lions managed to post a .526 shooting percentage.
Kaile Cruz led with 12 points (6-6 FT) followed by 11 points each from Kacie Febo-Santiago and Kimberly Macias.
The Lions managed to post conference-wide single-game highs in points (99), field goals made (40) and assists (30).
Tuesday's contest hosted by the Lions had the men's basketball teams playing first in the doubleheader followed by the women's teams in support of National Women in Sports Day (Feb. 4).
GAME NOTES
- Keirstyn Agonias totaled eight points to bring her career total to 905, becoming the fifth Vulcan with over 900 career points.
- Agonias also brought her career rebounds total to 416 to move to No. 4 in the program record books — moving past Hillary Hurley (2010-2012).
- Cruz hit two 3-pointers to bring her career total past the century mark at 101.

Hawai'i Hilo was voted No. 11 in the Pacific West Conference Preseason Coaches Poll. The Vulcans finished the 2024-25 regular season tied at No. 10 in the conference standings. The six-team 2025-26 PacWest Championships will be hosted by PLNU on March 5-7 in San Diego.
