HILO, Hawai'i – Hawai'i Hilo Women's Basketball will have a 25-game schedule for the upcoming season with 14 home contests at the Afook-Chinen Civic Auditorium starting Nov. 10 against Alaska.

The Vulcans follow their season opener with a road trip to the Pacific Northwest taking on UC Merced and Fresno Pacific (Nov. 13-14) in Monmouth, Oregon at Western Oregon University's Conference Crossover.

Hawai'i Hilo will once again host the Big Island Holiday Classic (Dec. 18-20), a four-team event featuring Evangel (NAIA), Minnesota Crookston (NSIC) and Rockhurst (GLVC).

"The PacWest Conference is always a challenging schedule," Hawai'i Hilo 17th-year head coach David Kaneshiro said. "We also scheduled some challenging non-conference matchups against West Region teams, and that, along with the Big Island Holiday Classic, will help prepare us for conference play."

Other home matches include: Alaska Anchorage (Nov. 17), Biola (Dec. 3), Vanguard (Dec. 7), Point Loma (Jan. 16), Jessup (Jan. 18), Concordia (Jan. 20), HPU (Feb. 7), Westmont (Feb. 13), Dominican (Feb. 17) and Chaminade (Feb. 27).

The PacWest Conference is now composed of 10 teams after the departures of Menlo and Fresno Pacific to the CCAA and Azusa Pacific to NCAA Division III.

The six-team PacWest Championships postseason tournament is set for March 4-6 in La Mirada, California hosted by Biola.
