ALAMEDA, California – Dysen Park and Dylan Bercan both finished inside the top 12 as Hawai'i Hilo Men's Golf placed fifth among 18 teams at the Tim Tierney Pioneer Shootout at Corica Park South Course on Monday and Tuesday.
The Vulcans carded rounds of 290, 281 and 291 to finish two-under par as a team.
Park led the way tying for ninth at five-under after rounds of 71, 66 and 74. In Round 2, Park landed five birdies and one eagle through the back nine holes.
Bercan tied for No. 11 at four-under with rounds of 71, 69 and 72.
Host Cal State East Bay won the team title at 15-under, with Colorado Christian second at 12-under and Cal State San Bernardino third at 10-under.
Tucker Sweeney of Santa Clara, competing as an individual, claimed medalist honors at 10-under. Western Washington's Conrad Brown was the top eligible individual finisher at nine-under.
