BOULDER CITY, Nevada – Dylan Bercan (-3) moved up 33 spots on the individual leaderboard after shooting a four-under Round 2 to move to tied for No. 15 after two rounds of the NCAA Division II Men's Golf Championships at Boulder Creek Golf Club's Desert Hawk / Coyote Run courses this week.

Bercan opened with a one-over first round carding four birdies against five bogeys. The back-to-back Pacific West Conference Champion bounced back in Round 2 with five birdies and just one bogey for a four-under 68 — tied for the seventh-best score of the day — to move to -3 overall.

The field features 20 teams and eight competing individuals — Bercan qualified for the National Championships after finishing tied for fourth at the South Central/West Regional in Stockton, California earlier this month — placing among the top two individuals not affiliated with a qualifying team to earn one of two individual at-large spots from the region. Eleven teams are ranked inside the top 25 and 47 individuals are ranked inside the top 100 of the latest Scoreboard powered by clippd Division II rankings.

No. 56 Ian Pienaar (Columbus State) leads all individuals at 10-under after rounds of 68 and 66. No. 3 Florida Southern leads the team standings at 18-under with No. 35 Missouri-St. Louis one shot behind in second place.

NOTES

• Top eight teams will face off head to head in a single-elimination match play bracket May 21-22 to determine a National Champion.
• Nick Mason (2002-2005) finished No. 4 (+7) at the 2004 National Championships (competed as an individual) and one-upped with a runner-up placement (-4) the following year to cap his career.
• Vulcans have made three team appearances in the NCAA Division II Men's Golf Championships: 2005 (No. 5), 2011 (No. 12), 2014 (No. 13).
