CALIFORNIA – Hawai'i Hilo Men's Soccer junior Tim Teicher was named Pacific West Conference Defender of the Week for Sept. 8-13 after making a combined 11 saves (37 total shots faced) across two matches against nationally ranked opponents on the road in Colorado.

Vanguard's Xavier Alcantar earned PacWest Conference Player of the Week honors after scoring his first two career goals in a 3-2 win over Cal State East Bay. Point Loma was named Team of the Week after defeating Cal State Monterey Bay, 4-2.

PACWEST DEFENDER OF THE WEEK: TIM TEICHER

Hawai'i Hilo's Tim Teicher had a tall task against two nationally ranked teams on the road as the Vulcans took on No. 4 UCCS and No. 22 CSU Pueblo. Teicher had five saves in the 2-1 loss to the Mountain Lions and six against the Thunderwolves in a 1-0 setback. Teicher, a junior transfer from Coastal Bend College (Texas), was making just his second and third starts of the season in goal.
