After playing four seasons for the Vulcans, Kallen Mizuguchi returned as interim head coach in 2019 before earning the official tag months later.

In his coaching debut, Mizuguchi guided the Vulcans Men's Tennis team to its best season in program history, finishing 15-5 with a semifinalist placement at the NCAA Men's Tennis Championship.

In 2021, Mizuguchi led both tennis program's to new heights as the women had their first winning season in a decade while the men added their first Pacific West Conference Championship. The men's tennis team continued on to win the NCAA West Regional followed by a second NCAA Championship semifinalist finish.
