Senior transfer James Griffin made a splashy debut in three games last week to open the 2018-19 season. The West Liberty University graduate had 23 points each in victories over Alaska and Simpson, while also pulling down six and eight rebounds respectively in those contests. For the week, the Australian had 58 points (19.3 ppg), 19 rebounds (6.3) and eight assists as the Vulcans got out of the gate with a 2-1 record.
